We had good friend and owner of Mayfly Tackle Andrew Summers up early in the New Year with his son Mitch and nephew David for a days fishing while in Hervey Bay.

David had never seen tuna and mackerel feeding on the surface before and we found some solid schools working wide of the Sandy Cape which made for some exciting fishing

David’s largest fish before this day was a 40cm flatty – so he was pretty stoked with Mac Tuna and had sore arms the next day 😉

It was a great day on the water in good company and nice to see the boys enjoying their fishing with a number of triple hook ups to keep them all on their toes #howgoodisherveybay
