I have never been a fan of “fishing” – It’s the “catching” part I really enjoy, and I hate donuts! So it felt great to put this beautiful fish in the boat on the 1st morning of our return trip to Lake Callide ????
The condition of these Lake Callide fish is amazing – they certainly live in a lake of plenty – but getting them to bite is a grind …
My good mate Wesley Pang joined us on this trip and managed this healthy 94cm brute – You can see why they are so healthy when they cough up boney bream this size after eating your lure!
The grind is real – but they are worth it!
There are some true trophy’s in Lake Callide at present and the cabin accommodation and service at the Lake Callide Retreat is fantastic as well – you just need to put the time in 😉
