Lake Callide – Round 2

I have never been a fan of “fishing” – It’s the “catching” part I really enjoy, and I hate donuts! So it felt great to put this beautiful fish in the boat on the 1st morning of our return trip to Lake Callide 🤓

The condition of these Lake Callide fish is amazing – they certainly live in a lake of plenty – but getting them to bite is a grind …

My good mate Wesley Pang joined us on this trip and managed this healthy 94cm brute – You can see why they are so healthy when they cough up boney bream this size after eating your lure!

The grind is real – but they are worth it!

There are some true trophy’s in Lake Callide at present and the cabin accommodation and service at the Lake Callide Retreat is fantastic as well  – you just need to put the time in 😉
