Setting Goals – Pursuit of a beach mulloway

Author picture

Just back from the wild beaches of the Nullarbor chasing day time mulloway with SA fishing legend “Tumby” Tom Tierney. The fishing was tough with variable weather conditions BUT we came through in the end :-

Lovely 6kg snapper to start the day

With only an hours fishing left before we had to pack up camp I hooked and landed the ultimate beach prize – 23kgs Mulloway

The fishing wasn’t the only highlight of the trip however with the scenery also being stunning :

Nullarbor Beach Sun Set

Also ran into another group of keen anglers from Adelaide – with Damien Henning also landing his first beach mulloway at 17kgs

Will write a full article on the trip for Saltwater Sportfishing in 2007
